Who Are We?

  • We are a group of over 300 residents who support Eden Park and want to help it establish a sustainable, self-sufficient future.
  • Most of our members live close to the Park, but they also include residents from surrounding suburbs.
  • Our representatives participate in Eden Park’s Community Liaison Group, helping to ensure that the views (and any concerns) of our members are taken into account in the Park’s decision making.

    Why do we support Eden Park?

  • Eden Park is a unique and longstanding feature of our neighbourhood and many of our members live here because of it.
  • The Park has proved to be a good neighbour that listens to the concerns of our members.
  • We are tired of other groups portraying residents as always being against the Park.

    How do we think Eden Park can be sustainable?

  • Eden Park is New Zealand’s only iconic international stadium and has been the backdrop for some of our country’s most significant sporting moments.
  • We believe the Park should strive to be financially independent. To do that, it needs to be able to generate income from a wide range of events, not just rugby and cricket.
  • A reasonable number of concerts and other community and cultural events must be allowed.

    Why do we want you to join us?

  • The more members we have, the louder our voice.
  • We want local and central government decision-makers to know that most of Eden Park’s neighbours support its continued existence and want it to succeed.
